Winery Gross Juice Yield Upgrade
Automation Engineering, System Integration and Process Engineering was performed to reduce Juice loss for a large winery.
Eichleay Engineers Inc. was contracted by a California based winery to expand and upgrade their control system to a ControlLogix / RSView32 / iHistorian platform and to implement the following process controls improvements:
- The SO2 injection process was improved by compensating for two phase flow
- Nitrogen purging and diaphragm pumps were added to twenty two (22) press tubs
- SO2 flow totalization and verification with SO2 tank weight was added
