Eichleay provided comprehensive program management services including engineering design, procurement, materials management, construction management, project controls, safety, quality assurance, and document management for North America’s largest, rare earth production facility.
Key components of this multi-year upgrade included crushing, milling, cracking, paste tailings facility and storage, separations, chlor-alkali plant, water and wastewater treatment, materials handling and conveying systems, ancillary facilities, two 25 MW combined heat and power (CHP) plants, as well as significant power distribution, distributed utilities, and control systems infrastructure.

Electronics Recycling & Precious Metals Recovery
Eichleay completed the detailed design for an electronics recycling facility, with a primary focus on recovering precious metals through product separation of polymer, ferrous, and nonferrous streams. The facility was installed within an existing warehouse and required a two-story equipment structure to support vibratory separation systems, piping, and associated infrastructure.
Equipment included product bins, shaker tables, gravity concentrators, ferrous separators, mixing tanks, filter presses, dust collection systems, water tanks, and overhead cranes.

- Conducted a thorough review of slurry and water systems, evaluating stream behavior for separation or suspension based on their location
- Served as the design engineer under a design-build contract, working with the general contractor to create construction work packages for efficient installation
- Designed a robust equipment support structure to meet stringent seismic and vibration performance requirements
